Anne Berit Reitan, NSMiF/b – Norway
I am 47 years old and live in Bergen. I’m a construction engineer by education.
I bought my first single-lens reflex camera – an Olympus e410 – in 2005 when my eldest daughter was born. However, I soon discovered that I could use the camera for more than capturing my children’s growth. I started experimenting with shutter speed and macro photography. After a few years, I bought a Nikon but returned to Olympus when the E-M10 mark III came. Now, I have the Olympus OM5, which I mostly use with the Olympus 40–150 f/2.8 Pro lens.
My favourite photo spot is Vardø – you never run out of motifs there. I can even combine photography with a visit to the family.
In 2019, I joined Bergen Kameraklubb, and in 2020, I started competing in club competitions and National Championships. I achieved “Photographer of the Year” in the club three years in a row, which was very big for me as I competed against many skilled photographers.
I have also used Photoshop quite a bit. In Photoshop, you can challenge your creativity by combining photographs into something completely different from what they were at the starting point.
